Wilson Air Center – Memphis is the first Fixed Base Operator (FBO) in the history of aviation to score top honors from Aviation International News (AIN) and Professional Pilot Magazine in the same year. The Memphis facility was named as the number one FBO corporate aviation support facility in the Americas, for the seventh straight year. Meanwhile Professional Pilot Magazine named Wilson Air Center – Memphis as the best Fixed Base Operator (FBO) in the United States.
The AIN ranking is a result of the publication’s North and South America FBO Survey, an assessment given by pilots familiar with FBO facilities and services. The survey ranks FBOs in four categories: line service, passenger amenities, pilot amenities and facilities. Wilson Air Center is the only FBO in the history of AIN to win the award for seven straight years.
The Professional Pilot ranking, compiled from the Preferences Regarding Aviation Services and Equipment (PRASE) Survey, asked readers to base ratings in six categories: line team, customer service representatives, facility, amenities, promptness and efficiency and value for cost. This is the first time Wilson Air Center – Memphis has received top honors from Professional Pilot.
A division of Kemmons Wilson Cos., Wilson Air Center runs corporate aviation support facilities in Memphis, Charlotte and Houston. Opened in 1996, Wilson Air Center has reinvented the FBO industry by blending a heritage rich in hospitality management and a long-standing passion for aviation.
