Wilson Air Center is celebrating a milestone: 25 years of operation. Wilson Air Center will be celebrating for the entire month of August with anniversary giveaways at all four locations as well as a month-long campaign, “25 Reasons to Love Wilson Air Center,” on social media. 

Wilson Air Center began after Mr. Robert “Bob” Wilson noticed the lack of hospitality in the FBO industry during his travels as a pilot. Since his father, Kemmons Wilson, created the Holiday Inn hotel chain, hospitality was in his blood. Bob Wilson set out to establish an FBO that provided outstanding service, fair prices, and a sense of southern hospitality when you walked through the doors. Touches such as Concierges greeting you plane-side, our “Never Say ‘No’” policy, and fresh baked cookies in the lobby help to cement the idea that when we welcome you to a Wilson Air Center, we are welcoming you into our home.

Twenty-five years later, Wilson Air Center is successfully operating four bases located in Memphis, TN; Houston, TX; Charlotte, NC; and Chattanooga, TN and has also been voted the #1 Best Small Chain FBO for an unprecedented 14 times by Professional Pilot Magazine and continuously been ranked highly by Aviation International News’ FBO Survey year after year. However, despite the growing bases and awards, the level of hospitality remains unchanged.
