Chattanooga Construction Update

Dave Ivey, Vice President, Wilson Air Center

The dust is flying, the hard hats are out and construction on Wilson Air Center’s newest FBO location in Chattanooga, TN (KHA) is progressing on schedule! Slated to open on August 1, 2011, passengers and crews visiting Chattanooga can expect a distinctly Wilson-style FBO experience from the layout of the facilities and décor right down to their signature Aircraft Concierge service and electronic ramp marquis signs welcoming you to Chattanooga.

The facilities will tout a massive 9,000 sq. ft. open-floor plan lobby complete with fireplace, integrated coffee bar, two well-appointed executive conference rooms, fully equipped business center as well as upscale pilot’s lounge with two private snooze rooms. The all new facility will have a noticeably upscale and modern feel, but retain the warm, inviting hometown feeling that Chattanooga is known for.

“We are extremely pleased with the progress in Chattanooga.” Said David Ivey, Vice President, Wilson Air Center. “We believe the newest Wilson Air Center will build on our heritage of hospitality and award winning service philosophies and deliver a truly unique experience for our customer, from touchdown to take off.”

The entire Wilson Air Center – Chattanooga campus, consisting of the executive terminal and office complex, all new hangar facilities and corresponding ramp, has been LEED Certified Gold. LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) is an internationally recognized green building certification system. The system is aimed at recognizing buildings or communities that achieve high performance in five key “green” areas: sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection and indoor environment quality.
